Jacob Jason Fitch ![]()
Jason graduated Unitec School of Performing Arts in 2000 and has since been involved in numerous film, television and theatre productions. Amongst his credits are The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Shortland Street, Living the Dream, Outrageous Fortune, Street Legal and many more.
Jake Leighton Cardno ![]()
Leighton graduated Unitec School of Performing Arts in 1999 and immediately landed the title role in the Auckland Theatre Company's production of The Cripple of Innishmaan and later Serial Killers. Soon, Leighton was simultaneously cast in two core roles in different TV shows, the Emmy nominated Being Eve and Shortland Street, where he worked for several years playing two different roles at the same time. He was later cast in Canada’s Da Vinci’s Inquest. After several years in North America he returned home to work on Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Sea Patrol, Power Rangers and Go Girls.

Writer, Director, Producer Doug Dillaman ![]()
Doug is a co-founder of Hybrid Motion Pictures. In addition to writing and directing several short films, he has worked as a professional freelance editor for companies including the BBC, South Pacific Pictures, Natural History New Zealand, TV3, Jam, and Two Heads. He has also written several feature film scripts. JAKE is his first feature film.
Producer Alastair Tye Samson ![]()
As a co-founder of Hybrid Motion Pictures, Alastair has produced and directed short films, music videos and internet virals. He is also known as a fast and talented online editor with an up-to-date knowledge of technical workflow and a strong creative eye. Having spent stints with well known New Zealand film industry power-houses Weta Digital, Eyeworks Touchdown, The Gibson Group and Images&Sound, Alastair has worked on everything from feature films to TV drama, documentaries, reality programming and commercials.
Producer Anoushka Klaus ![]()
Anoushka has written, directed and produced five short films, and in 2003 travelled to Germany documenting a group of breakdancers from South Auckland. She has been working in the film industry since 2002 in a multitude of roles from DA on feature films from development through to Facilities Manager at one of New Zealand's largest post-production houses - and many production roles in between. While her main focus is now acting, Anoushka plays a critical role in the Hybrid producer trinity.
Editor Peter Evans ![]()
Peter has been in the film and TV industry for 32 years. In Sydney, Australia, he trained in all aspects of film making from camerawork through animation to negative cutting and finally concentrating on editing. Peter cut numerous commercials and worked in current affairs post production at networks in Sydney and Perth before coming to Auckland as a commercial editor in 1984. He works extensively in all areas of post production and in many disciplines: drama, documentary, commercials, magazine. Peter has also written and directed short dramas and documentaries in New Zealand and Australia.
Director of Photography Ross Turley ![]()
Ross started his training at Shepperton studios in the UK working as a freelance camera assistant for various commercials & BBC dramas. Now back in New Zealand, he can be found at Panavision where he has built a solid reputation as the go to guy for both Film & HiDef cameras.
